I am delighted to be working with the charity RISE UK to offer a series of workshops to help you reach your running and fundraising goals. The workshops are free to Team Rise runners, friends and family are welcome to join at a cost of £20pp, per session, payable on the day.
These two-hour sessions will build upon each other to support you as you prepare and train for your upcoming races. They will help to clarify some key elements from a physical and mental perspective so you cross that finish line in one piece and with a smile on your face!
In conjunction with FitBitch, our aim with each session is to build your physical and mental strength and skills progressing towards achieving a half marathon or marathon goal. We encourage you to attend all the sessions, however you are welcome to attend only those dates when you are free. Bring with you or come in kit that you would run in.
The dates of the sessions are on Saturday 3rd November, 8th December, 19th January and 9th March, from 9:00am to 11:00am at Studio 57 Clinic in Hove. Please feel free to join us at 8:30 to meet the other runners and have a chat. Plus, stick around afterwards to chat with a therapist from Studio57 who can answer any questions you may have about injuries or niggles.
For the upcoming session this Saturday, 3rd November, we will provide an overall introduction to RISE, to training (for the half and full marathon) and understanding training principles as well as goal setting for your race and motivation strategies to get you through those long runs.
