Master of Reality is the third studio album by Black Sabbath, released on July 21st 1971 in both the US and UK.. 'Master of Reality' was Black Sabbath's most polished album at the time of it's release.

The shortest album of Black Sabbath's glory years, Master of Reality is also their most sonically influential work.
The song was released on their third studio album Master of Reality in 1971, and later the same year it had been released as the first single from the album, but failed to chart anywhere. Here Tony Iommi began to experiment with tuning his guitar down three half-steps to C#, producing a sound that was darker, deeper, and sludgier than anything they'd yet committed to record. From the residual cough that opens 'Sweet Leaf' (a tongue-in-cheek love song to a certain medicinal herb), to the last screaming echo of 'Into the Void'- 'Master of Reality' broke new ground for the band, while helping to further refine their unique sound.

Another trip thru the past, have owned Master of Reality on 8-track,L.P.,cassette and C.D.
